Michael Wolff – playing Trump at his own game

Michael Wolff, who has lit a fuse under Trump with his Fire and Fury expose, is known as a ‘provocateur and media polemicist’ with a liking for stirring up arguments and is not above adding his own creative touches to his tales and inventing quotes. Not all of what he writes can be taken as gospel, however appealing the juicier titbits are.

Born 27 August 1953, he is, as befits a sort of journalist, a Sun Virgo. But what drives his chart is a ruthlessly determined, angry and flamboyant Mars Pluto Mercury in Leo, sextile expansive Jupiter on one side and Saturn Neptune on the other. When push comes to shove, he’ll bulldoze his way ahead.

This looks a year of high excitement, lots of publicity and some major disruptions for him. His Solar Arc Mars is conjunct his Neptune and square his Uranus, around now – which will certainly draw him into the public eye, though he may be quaking in his boots with trepidation since Mars Uranus can be insecure. February looks bullishly confident. In March tr Pluto will start to oppose his Uranus and square his Neptune from late month which looks confused, devastated and a complete turnaround in his life. That will run on through 2019, when he’s up against all manner of obstacles. April looks very jangled but also confident at the same time. These Uranus influences can go either way, perhaps tipping him into the history books as the man who brought down a president; or collapsing his life as it stands at present. It certainly won’t be the same by the end of this year.

His Pluto Mercury is conjunct Trump’s Mars, so a mighty clash of personalities – mind you they don’t seem that different. Wolff’s Uranus is conjunct Trump’s Saturn with Wolff’s Neptune Saturn square – so he homes in on Trump’s fear of being unloved. Their relationship chart does have a friendly composite Sun Venus, but that is being blown to smithereens come March/April this year. More pointedly it also has a megaton composite Pluto Jupiter Mars – plenty of scope for one-upmanship games in there.

This was always going to be Trump’s month from hell, running on from December, with tr Uranus whipping up a storm as it crashes into his Sun/Mars, Mercury/Pluto and Venus/Saturn midpoints – 1) impulsive, over-excited, overtaxing strength; (2) fanatical, great mental strain; 3) emotional stress, acute loneliness. Mercury/Pluto especially is usually highlighted when there are huge psychological pressures bearing down.

His Progressed Moon is now in his 12th house, always an introspective and can-be-discouraging time especially for those with no insight into themselves. It will be conjunct his 12th house Pluto in less than a month, bringing dark thoughts and a sense of being humiliated and trapped; and the Progressed Moon stays in his 12th for another 18 months.

Also building up a head of steam for him are two Solar Arcs – Solar Arc Uranus conjunct his Mars, exact in less than six months’ time and Solar Arc Mercury square his Uranus in about 7 months. Both of those will put considerable strain on his self-esteem, perhaps to breaking point, given what we can see at the moment; and could trigger early. He’s likely to continue to be intemperate, hot-headed and determined to prove its machismo by wild actions – unless he’s stopped by colleagues or Mother Nature.

  1. @CSA I think you need to read the book (even if you are pro-Trump) before you define what ‘helping Trump’ means. Based on the book, Trump DIDN’T want to win! He had a whole life planned for a life after losing the election – to create a media empire that would catapult him to another level where he became a political powerhouse and a thorn in Hilary’s flesh. Not in all of their wildest dreams, did a single person on that campaign think they would win, so no one had a plan for what to do if they won. And so I ask again, how did Moore help Trump? Trump is now in a prison of his own making (Prog 12th/Moon) called the WH; and according to him, finds the place intimidating and frightening (Pluto/12th) and according to the book, is getting crueler towards everyone everyday as he continues to feel very unloved (Saturn/Venus).

A critical point to remember was the placement of Tr Jupiter during and right after the election for Trump – he was well protected by Tr Jupiter, but right now, that protection is no more.

This Fire and Fury book may not make a difference to Trump’s time in the WH but it will plant seeds for the future. Personally I think his presidency is out of anyone’s hands, his and ours. I see this as a cosmic intervention by the Universe to wake Earth up by showing us a mirror (Trump) of what we (Americans) have become – conflicted, self-righteous, contradictory, self-centered, egoistic, capitalistic, talking but never listening, etc. Trump may not realise that he is on a cosmic mission to reflect where we are on a global scale. I do not support him but I cannot help but wonder what kind of Karmic retribution he is on for the stars to have conspired to put him in the most devastating situation for him where he gets bombarded daily (energetically) by so much anger and curses, no wonder he is deteriorating daily right in front of our very eyes. Trump may be the President but he feels nothing like a president within. In some way, I actually feel sorry for him.

  2. Have a hunch this book could backfire on Michael Wolff. As much as I want it to “bring down this presidency,” it may well, as CSA suggests, benefit Trump in the end…..and put the author squarely in the Fake News column. I would not want to be in Wolff’s shoes, with Trump and his goons gunning for me. The media is throwing hardball questions at Wolff. Saw him interviewed on left-leaning CBS this morning–he was squirming….the questions were tough. With his best friend Jupiter at his side, Donald J. Doofus will no doubt survive these jaw-dropping (and I’m sure mostly true) allegations. And the nightmare continues………

  3. Grossly overlooked— no doubt due to biased analysis, and pandering to anti-Trumpers, is one very obvious caveat: Wolff’s Jupiter is exactly conjunct Trump’s Sun at 22 degrees Gemini (along with Trump’s Uranus and N. Node). Regardless of what “game” Wolff is “playing,” and no matter what he tries to do in opposition of Trump, reality is that he will invariably be beneficial, even lucky, for Trump (he can’t even help it!). The same happened with Michael Moore— who also has Jupiter conjunct Trump’s Sun. Moore drove salacious conjecture against Trump, but it only helped Trump (even in Moore’s home state), and made Moore himself look like a parasite on a host. Similarly, Wolff is walking into the same trap, but because Wolff is uber-attention seeking with a Leo stellium (Mercury-Pluto-Mars) conjunct his MC, and he’s shameless (Aries Moon square his Cancer Uranus—in a grand cardinal square with Chiron in Capricorn and Neptune in Libra), not only does he believe his own lies, but he’s a total hedonist with his Sun conjunct Bacchus, both 4 degrees of Virgo (literary, books) in the 10th of career and fame—even if the book earns him a dubious reputation, the “orgy” of excitement, attention, money and status he receives will be worth it for him, and will sustain his love of notoriety and the the good life, maybe even after he is no longer the drug of choice for Trump haters. But fear not, Wolff’s Scorpio rising conjunct Arachne, the “weaver of webs,” and Pandora, Hidalgo and Narcissus all conjunct in the first house— and squaring his MC-Mars Leo stellium, should find him pushing the envelope into seedy realms for years to come!

  4. I’m on page 11 of the book, and, wow! This is nasty and gossipy in the best possible way. Wolff is answering to many questions I’ve had on Murdoch-Ailes-Mercer connections I’ve had for months. Also, includes subtle drops not directly related to Trump, such as Murdoch sons being “Liberals”. Apparently, reputable press is confirming much of this.

    • If it wasn’t so cold in D.C. the West Wing would be on fire, lol. This is turning into the best soap opera ever, or as Trump would put it, “Huge”.

  5. I was writing on how the situation in White House now might reflect that in Finland back in 1980-81, when a long time competent president Urho Kekkonen’s (a Virgo Sun, Finland has a Virgo Moon and certainly loves Virgo Presidents) heath became an issue. What I didn’t mention there is a group of journalists “in the know” wrote an exposée, concentrating on the political ambitions of Kekkonen’s political heirs. I think that apart from thw juicy tidbits on Trump Wolff’s book will be much the same – we’ll see him rip through Trump Entourage.

I literally learned how to read with the book I mentioned here, too. It was at my granddad’s study, and I was drawn to it because of the cover. No wonder I’m here for the Mundane Astrology now.

      • Sounds like “Valkerie”, the Tom Cruise movie. Didn’t get Hitler but blew up the entourage. Only now it’s done with media bombs

      • larryc, I should clarify that with Entourage, I’m not speaking just about Trump Administration. The GOP leadership has been covering up Trump’s incapacity, in best case scenario for themselves to profit out of it, worst case scenario because they are complicit. Take Paul Ryan, a guy who ran for VP and is now second in line of succession if Trump is incapacitated. People close to him were telling journalists he is considering retiring in 2018. And he just had an improntu interview with Deputy AG Rosenstein on Nunes, and apparently sided with him. Why would he do this, if he did
believed he had any sort of a political future? A wise move would have been to “Romney” himself.

  6. Whoa nelly! The whistleblower (albeit a flawed one), is in for a very rough ride. That 12th house stellum of Sun Mercury Midheaven Pluto Mars in the Solar Arc chart gave him the nuclear blast mindset to go through with it, though.

Those of you who follow minor planets and fixed stars, have you found anything interesting?
