    • It always seemed to me unlikely. It’s a hugely daunting prospect being caught up in the middle of that kind of circus extravaganza. And Harry’s never even met him so clearly he was never too intimately involved. He sounds reclusive and would have needed much more support to get ready for this. If she’d really wanted him he should have been brought over earlier and given protection.

  1. American Xenophobia

    “1753
“Those who come hither are generally of the most ignorant Stupid Sort of their own Nation. … Few of their children in the Country learn English. … In short unless the stream of their importation could be turned from this to other colonies, as you very judiciously propose, they will soon so outnumber us, that all the advantages we have will not in My Opinion be able to preserve our language, and even our Government will become precarious.”
    – Benjamin Franklin on German immigrants

    1896
“While the people who for 250 years have been migrating to America have continued to furnish large numbers of immigrants to the United States, other races of totally different race origin, with whom the English-speaking people have never hitherto been assimilated or brought in contact, have suddenly begun to immigrate to the United States in large numbers. Russians, Hungarians, Poles, Bohemians, Italians, Greeks, and even Asiatics, whose immigration to America was almost unknown twenty years ago, have during the last twenty years poured in in steadily increasing numbers, until now they nearly equal the immigration of those races kindred in blood or speech, or both, by whom the United States has hitherto been built up and the American people formed. This momentous fact is the one which confronts us today, and if continued, it carries with it future consequences far deeper than any other event of our times. It involves, in a word, nothing less than the possibility of a great and perilous change in the very fabric of our race.”
    – Henry Cabot Lodge speaking before Congress

    1924
“The character of immigration has changed and the newcomers are imbued with lawless, restless sentiments of anarchy and collectivism. They arrive to find their hopes too high, the land almost gone and themselves driven to drown into the cities and struggle for a living. Then anarchy becomes rife among them.”
    – Rep. Albert Johnson, one of the architects of the act that placed national origins quotas on immigration

“I would build a wall of steel, a wall as high as Heaven, against the admission of a single one of those Southern Europeans who never thought the thoughts or spoke the language of a democracy in their lives.”
    – Georgia Gov. Clifford Walker at a Ku Klux Klan rally

  2. Marjorie, each time I click onto a post (or the website) I keep getting a white box, about the size of a box to tick, usually on the middle-right side of the screen. Thought it was my own pc but I’ve tried it on my mother and sister’s laptops too and the same glitch is showing up so wondering if it’s the website?

Does anyone else have this showing up?

    • Maybe an advert that’s slow to load or not loading at all. They’re territorial so it doesn’t show up here. If it keeps going let me know and where you live and I’ll pass it on to he–who-understands-all-such-things

      • Thanks, Marjorie. Has been going on for a couple of months actually. I never bothered saying anything before but I was catching up with a number of posts yesterday and it was constant even when I was coming out of the post to get back on the home page. We’ve got fibreband (or whatever it’s called) and internet is pretty quick here (County Durham). It’s just this weird little square box that doesn’t quite know what to do with itself but determined to be noticed 😀

      • Hi – I hv the same issue. Not a problem as I can click on the white box and it “removes” itself. My laptop is quite wonky now (windows 7) and am looking for a replacement computer. Only shows up on Windows 7 not the XP laptop. Zip locations is 98203.

      • I see it too on my laptop. It’s quite small, about the size of an emoji and scrolls with the page. It shows up because of your blue background. I’m fairly sure it’s a tracking pixel related to Jetpack site stats and analytics.

  3. Deborah, as mentioned above putting links in your post will get you a message of ”awaiting moderation” and it doesn’t matter if the link is to a post or a picture. If you have never posted before, as my younger sister recently did enquiring about Taylor Swift, putting in an ‘unknown’ email address, you will also get an ”awaiting moderation” message too. Same goes if you put in a different email address than you usually post with in the email box area, it’s just one of those things. But typically, you display that typical Trumpian arrogance of ”oh, how typical that I would be censored when speaking the truth!” Where’s your stance on censoring viewpoints when Fox news (not the only one but the worst, imo) do the same thing day in and out by using propaganda to silence and distort the truth? Probably nodding your head in agreement to such dangerous and nefarious ideals shown under a rose-tinted light, no doubt.

  4. Intelligent guess that your post contains a web link. I have noticed that when I have a post with a web link, then it goes for moderation. If no web link, then no moderation required.

It is a sensible precaution, as I am sure that otherwise we will have posters filling up the comments with porn and malware web links.

So, not censorship, merely practical housekeeping.

  5. Korean denuclearization
    The economy is strong
Unemployment is at an all time low 3.9 %
Trump is putting America First as promised and saving us money. Just saw April was the best month in history for the US budget. CBO says it collected a record $515 billion in tax revenue. Feds spent $297 billion, with a surplus of $218 billion. Previous record surplus was $190 billion in 2001.

Latest news is support for Trump from Af-Ams is up from 11% at election to current 22% and rising.

I don’t see a “blue wave” for midterms. GOP turnout in this weeks primaries was up from 2014…
    61% in West Virginia
    43% in Indiana
    48% in Ohio

Even people who didn’t vote for Trump are weary of the Left’s mission to pull him down and CNN’s own poll shows the same. “CNN Poll Shows Democrat Generic Ballot Advantage Disappeared”
The Democrats’ advantage in the generic ballot dipped from 16 points in February to six points in March to just three points now. The party’s advantage has waned among enthusiastic voters as Republican enthusiasm has grown.

I believe Trump is going to be very happy with the midterm results:
He will have a transit Jupiter square his ascendant and Uranus trine it. His November lunar return has a strong 10th ruler Sun in first house along with a Sagittarius Jupiter.

Voters are seeing the Left still has no platform. Their only message this year and (unless they scramble) at midterms is “get Trump” which is not nearly as inspiring as Trump’s great accomplishments in the last 18 mos. Voters are waking up and seeing an incredibly strong president who is keeping his promises.

  6. Marjorie,

Is there anything astrologically speaking that would explain Trump’s sudden “surge” in the polls? It’s absolutely horrifying but in recent weeks, Trump’s “approval rating” has been rising. I’ve also noticed the news media has been giving Trump slightly more “favorable” press. (ugh). As a result, Democrats’ leads on the generic ballot have been dropping and Republican Senate candidates have been taking the lead in many states.

I know you mentioned in one of your posts awhile back that Trump would be receiving some “undeserved luck” sometime this year – I’m assuming that’s what’s happening right now.

If it’s true that Trump (and I guess the Republicans too) are going through a “lucky period,” is there any indication (astrologically speaking) that this will end soon? In other words, do the stars indicate any near future roadblocks or anything that might put an end to Trump’s “luck” at least before the mid-term elections.

As always, any insights or information you decide to share will be much appreciated.

    Thank you so much.

    • Will look later. The NK shift definitely helped him even among anti-Trumpers – if it works out. The economy is trundling along OK at the moment. And some people do love ‘strong’ leaders – look at the adulation dictators often get. Plus you forget most people don’t read across a spectrum of the media so get a very narrow view of how he’s doing, only listening to the cheerleaders who write off any criticism as fake news. Without wishing to sound insulting it’s why Deborah (‘love and humility’ Trump) has been useful (though somewhat teeth-gritting) since she lets you see what the mindset of a chunk of the population is.
